When you use a subreport to which you have added parameters, you can pass values to those parameters from the parent report or from the data region which hosts the subreport.

To pass parameters to a subreport

1. On the layout tab of the report, right-click the subreport and choose Properties.
2. In the Subreport Properties smart panel, select Parameters.
3. Under Parameter Name, type the exact name of a parameter in the subreport.
4. Under Parameter Value, enter a value for the parameter. (You can create an expression for this value that calls a field in the parent report.)

   Note: If you do not provide all of the parameters for the subreport, it will not render.

5.  Click the Accept button in the lower right corner to close the smart panel.

To pass parameters from a data region to a repeating subreport

1. On the layout tab of the report, right-click the subreport and choose Properties.
2. In the Subreport Properties smart panel, click the Parameters page.
3. Under Parameter Name, enter the exact name of a parameter in the subreport.
4. Under Parameter Value, enter an expression value for the parameter that calls a field in the data region.

   Note: If you do not provide all of the parameters for the subreport, it will not render.

5.  Click the Accept button in the lower right corner to close the smart panel.
